I installed this to vent an electric homebrew setup on the second floor of my garage. So far it has worked great, preventing steam and condensation buildup at the start of winter. My garage is gas heated to about 55F and is insulated, but when I brew, even by the open door, I would get condensation on the 2nd floor ceiling. Not anymore with my hood and this fan. I'm currently brewing with a 7 gallon Grainfather system when brewing alone, but will be upgrading to a 20 gallon batch electric system in the next year or two. I'll update on performance and longevity after the upgrade. I am slightly worried that the added moisture from the larger system may corrode or damage the unit, but it handled the first two brews well and kept everything dry so I am optimistic. It's not super quiet, but also not load. I'd say in my setup it's in the mid to high 60s in dB. For the price I am quite happy with it.
