It's a little wobbly, but it's not that bad.Inexpensive and light duty. Not as sturdy as what you would know from a school lab.This ring stand is perfect for making my drip coffee. I place a large paper coffee filter in a large lab grade funnel. I use 3 clothes pins to hold the filter paper in the funnel. The funnel is supported in the large ring and the clamp holds the lower part of the funnel to secure it. I place a beaker under the funnel...then pour hot water over my favorite coffee grounds...and then enjoy hot java. Works for me. It's portable, well made and it is easy to clean. It looks really cool on my counter too. I am very pleased with this versatile ring stand and I do recommend it.This looks good in the photos, and it's not bad, but it is not that sturdy. The clamps don't hold as well as I would like. It's an OK item, nothing stellar.This may not be what you would buy for a professional lab, but it will be great for doing experiments with my grandson now, and my granddaughter in 2 - 3 years. The rings are circular (not oval, per another review, but perhaps the feedback was heard) and I don't see any flaws. Nice chrome-like plated finish, black painted base. I'm pretty sure it will handle the weight of any experiments the kids and I perform.Overall I am really happy with this purchase except for the smaller clamp on configuration. I have to use a 3/8" all thread to be able to use for my extracting needs, plus it is somewhat oval shaped versus round which caused minor issues.It served its purpose without fail.It is not as sturdy as ones that I have ordered in the past. Its usable, just not great.
